Telehealth Marketing Case Studies: The Work Behind the Brands
We show the work, the process and the ranges we see across our accounts. Then, on a call, we show you live dashboards with patient data removed.
The short answer
These telehealth marketing case studies show how ModFX Media builds and runs patient acquisition for telehealth brands, including ThriveLab, an eight-figure telehealth brand whose marketing we run end to end. In a regulated category, we show channels, creative approach, attribution and CAC ranges rather than revenue claims. Live dashboards, with patient data removed, are shared on a strategy call.

Telehealth marketing runs under FDA, FTC and ad platform rules. Revenue screenshots are easy to fake, hard to verify and tell you little about your own launch.
So we show the challenge each brand faced, what we built, how we measure it, and the cost ranges we see across our accounts. For live numbers, we open dashboards on a call.
Telehealth marketing case studies from our accounts
ThriveLab, an eight-figure telehealth brand
The challenge: An established telehealth brand needed one team accountable for every channel, from first click to refill, while keeping its marketing inside FDA and platform rules.
What we did: ModFX runs all of ThriveLab’s marketing. - Channels: \ - Creative approach: in-house AI-assisted creative and creator-style content, with AI content never presented as a real patient testimonial. \ - Attribution: \ - Result: \
What it shows: When one team owns the whole funnel, CAC is measured end to end instead of argued about between vendors. ThriveLab also owns its own professional corporation (medical group), so it controls its clinical side.
Game Day Men’s Health
The challenge: Grow from a single founder-run location into a brand that could acquire patients nationally.
What we did: Our team scaled Game Day from launch, using paid direct response marketing to carry the brand from one location to national scale. - Channels: \ - Timeline: \ - Result: \
What it shows: A model that works in one clinic can become a national brand when the offer and acquisition system are built for scale, not just for local word of mouth.
Margot MD
The challenge: Launch a new telehealth brand with an organic search foundation in place from day one, not bolted on later.
What we did: Margot MD launched in September 2026 on Wizlo, an enterprise telehealth platform for funded brands. ModFX built its headless programmatic SEO site (a fast site that generates many search-targeted pages from structured data). - Site and stack: \ - Early indicators: \
What it shows: Infrastructure and marketing can launch together. It is early: meaningful organic traction typically takes 3 to 4 months, and we will update this card as the data comes in.
Across our accounts: the telehealth results we typically see
| Metric | What we see in our accounts |
|---|---|
| Cold new-patient CAC (cost to acquire one paying patient) | Typically $150 to $350 |
| CAC on mature campaigns | Often around $90 to $170 |
| Working CAC target | $150 to $200 |
| Patient lifetime value in these programs | Often $2,000 to $3,000 or more |
| Largest single Google Ads account | More than $5 million managed |
| Google Shopping for LegitScript-certified brands | One account scaling past $5,000 a day in spend |
| ModFX’s own site after its rebuild | About 80 to about 1,500 ranking keywords in roughly 90 days |
*Results vary by offer, state mix, budget and execution. Past results do not guarantee future results.*
Platforms we build on: Heroship, the platform we build on for founders and growing brands, also powers brands such as TrimRx, Eden and Shed. We do not run marketing for those brands. We name them to show the infrastructure works at scale. More on our telehealth infrastructure.

From the field
Founders always ask for the CAC number first. But a CAC without the refill rate behind it is half a story. I’ve watched brands celebrate a great-looking first month and then lose money because patients left after one order. The accounts I’m proudest of are not the ones with the lowest cost per click. They’re the ones where we can trace a dollar of ad spend to a patient who is still refilling months later.

How we report
Ad platforms grade their own homework. Meta and Google will each claim credit for the same patient, so adding their numbers together overstates what you actually bought.
We reconcile platform data against paid orders in your CRM, so you see one CAC number you can trust, by channel and by campaign. For brands spending $20,000 to $30,000 or more a month, we build attribution dashboards that track spend through to paid patients.
Here is how reporting works: \
- Before launch: we agree what counts as a lead, a paid patient and a retained patient.
- Weekly: spend, CAC by channel and creative performance, with what we are changing and why.
- Monthly: blended CAC, retention trends and the next month’s test plan.
- On the strategy call: we show you live dashboards from our accounts with patient data removed, so you see real numbers without anyone’s health information.
Our CRM and automation run on HIPAA-compliant GoHighLevel setups.

What happens on the strategy call
What we cover
Where you are today and where you want to be in 12 months. Your treatments, states and timeline. What is already working and what is leaking. The path we would take, in order, and whether we are the right team for it. If we are not, we will tell you who is.
What to bring
Your treatment list and target states. Current numbers if you are live (ad spend, new patients, refill rate). The platforms or vendors you are considering. Rough is fine.
About cost: Every launch is scoped to your states, product mix and goals, so we put real numbers in front of you on the call.
Book a strategy callYou will see a live attribution dashboard with patient data removed and leave knowing which CAC range is realistic for your offer and state mix.
FAQ
+Why don’t your case studies include revenue numbers?
Telehealth marketing operates under FDA, FTC and ad platform rules, and revenue claims are easy to misread and hard to verify. Our case studies show the challenge, the work, the channels and the CAC ranges we see across our accounts. On a strategy call, we show live dashboards with patient data removed so you can see real performance directly.
+What CAC should a new telehealth brand expect?
In our accounts, cold new-patient CAC typically runs $150 to $350, and mature campaigns often land around $90 to $170. We usually work toward a target of $150 to $200. Results vary by offer, state mix, budget and execution. Past results do not guarantee future results.
+Do you run marketing for TrimRx, Eden or Shed?
No. Heroship, the platform we build on, also powers brands such as TrimRx, Eden and Shed, which shows that infrastructure works at scale. ModFX does not run their marketing. Our own client work is in the case study cards on this page.
+How do you measure telehealth results?
We reconcile ad platform data against paid orders in your CRM, so CAC reflects real patients rather than platform-reported conversions. For brands spending $20,000 to $30,000 or more a month, we build attribution dashboards that track spend through to paid and retained patients, reviewed weekly and monthly.
+Can I talk to one of your telehealth clients?
Yes, once we are in serious conversations. We keep client contact details off public pages to respect their privacy, and we connect you with an owner directly on or after a strategy call. Every reference is a real client who has agreed to speak with you.
+Why are some case study details still marked as coming soon?
Telehealth clients approve every number and quote we publish about them, in writing, before it goes live. That takes time, and we would rather publish less than publish anything a client has not signed off on. We add approved detail as it clears, and we show more on a strategy call.
